COSMOSIL C18-MS-II
COSMOSIL C18-MS-II
COSMOSIL C18-MS-II HPLC Columns
The COSMOSIL C18-MS-II is a well-balanced column with better basic performance such as sharper peaks of basic compounds and chelating compounds, and high theoretical plate number. It is the most popular HPLC column because we produce very consistent products and minimize variation from lot to lot. Furthermore we provide abundant Applications with the column, so it will help you to choose an analysis condition of your sample.
Main Characteristics
- High Durability and increased Peak Shape for Basic Compounds
- Extended pH Range
- Perfect for low molecular weight Organic Compounds

Analysis of Basic Compounds
The COSMOSIL C18-MS-II column, taking advantage of a new end-capping treatment, can replace the original COSMOSIL C18(ODS) column. A new end-capping treatment with polar groups for “shield effect” has significantly improved peak shape for basic compounds.

Stability under Alkaline Conditions
The durability under extremely high pH is greatly improved in the new COSMOSIL C18-MS-II compared with old COSMOSIL C18-MS. Although it is possible to use COSMOSIL under alkaline condition for a limited time, some deterioration may occur after long exposure. We recommend pH7.5 and below for long-term usage. Between the measurements, methanol : 20 mM/l tris buffer (pH10.0) = 50 : 50 mobile phase was run at 1.0 ml/min flow rate, no significant deterioration could be observed.
